Monaco Ford Offering Pothole Special

This winter has been particularly brutal on the pothole front.

But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. From now until May 31, we’re running a pothole special to help you get your car back in shape.

Our biggest concern with people driving a vehicle with a messed up alignment is safety because the wear and tear on your tires can have an immediate impact.

One sign that your alignment may be off is when you’re holding the wheel and driving straight, the wheel won’t stay centered.

Another sign is when your car tugs to one direction or the other when you’re not turning the vehicle that way.You may also notice your front end shaking on a smooth, straight road as you start to pick up a little speed.

It happened to me two winters ago. I hit a huge pothole – almost like a sinkhole – and immediately could feel that the car was different. My tire also popped. 

But even if your tire doesn’t pop, you can feel the difference. You can feel the pull, the shaking, or notice that the wheel won’t stay straight.

Monaco Ford Getting a Makeover

Last month, the Glastonbury Town Planning and Zoning Commission approved an application for a 1,600 square foot addition to the Monaco Ford building, located at 767 New London Turnpike. 

It’s a massive makeover – it will look like an entirely new dealership when we’re done. And after nearly 100 years, it’s long overdue. We’re going to be bringing the dealership up to date to better serve our customers and the community that we’ve been part of for so many years. 

This addition and renovation will allow for a more functional layout for the dealership. Also planned is a landscaped island that will be placed between the dealership and the road.

The project is set to be completed within a year and the dealership will remain open during the construction.

Monaco Ford is family owned and operated since 1922, currently employing its 4th generation of ownership. The dealership currently has over 80 employees. It has received Ford’s prestigious President’s Award an outstanding 8 times in the past two decades by surpassing all requirements, proving itself as one of Connecticut’s elite dealers.

Monaco Ford and Got 5 Minutes Partnering Up for Unique Singles Event

Looking to get out, meet some new people, and have a good time?

This is speed dating taken to a whole new level.

On Friday, April 11, Monaco Ford and Got 5 Minutes will be teaming up for a unique singles event as a fundraiser for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

The fun will begin at 6 p.m. at Monaco Ford and there will be music, entertainment, raffles, and food from Vito’s Restaurants. Jaimy Blazynski, the 96.5 TIC-FM Date Doctor, will serve as host.
